SUO #153

Hi Ladies,

First challenge I have entered in a while & I am excited. I used stamps from the Fabuous Floret (floral image) set and my old Fresh Cuts set (Thank You sentiment.) Make sure your Su stamp pad is new and or re-inked to get a dark, crisp image. The crisp outlines of the flowers really do it for me for sure!! I used whisper white cardstock and coloured the flower on the popped out image in the right hand corner with my crisp canatloupe SU marker. I used my 2.5 SU circle punch to punch out a circle on whisper white and stamped & coloured my floral image and then affixed it to the card base with SU dimensionals. I hope you love this wonderful clean and simple Thank You card as much as I do!!

Hugs,
Jenny G

Cards I made last sunday night: June 12/16

Hi All,

Haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would show you a card I made for a friend who had suffered a personal loss in the family. Getting back into my blog after such a long hiatus has been hard but it's so worth it!!

Hugs & Love,
Jenny G

It's been a while, but I am back!

Hi All,

Life has been pretty busy &crazy since my dad passed away in 2012 and I became his executor! I have wanted to post more often but things have been coming up & then there was an explosion of babies in the family so I have been very busy making quilts, babysitting, planning family get togethers, stocking my freezer with freezer meals for myself & others. At the end of the day, it's great to just sit on the sofa with my hubby and relax. Lately, I have started making cards and scrapbooks again which is what I LOVE to do and will be posting more and more of them & perhaps even sell a few. You just never know!

Hugs & Love,

SUO #92 Pinks and Purples

Hi All,
Just rushing off to one of the many birthday parties planned for my birthday weekend! I will put the basic card recipe but not the blow by blow account of how I made this card. All materials and products are from stamping up, of course! Hope you don't mind! My hubby is taking me jewelry shopping before the party so I must get ready! So excited!

Stampsets: Betsy's Blossoms, Elements of Style & the sale a bration set from last year with the ferris wheel, bicycle etc...it had the wonderful scripted sentiment "Celebrate" in it but I have forgot the name of the set!

Inks: Perfect Plum, Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink

Paper: Blushing Bride on the edges using the finishing touch framelits & Rich Razzleberry for the frame around the sentiment and for the cute little butterfly. Pearls and butterfly punch are from stamping up. Stripe on the right side is from some SU dsp from maybe 3 or so years ago that I had around the house. Enjoy!

SUO #89 No Layers!

Hi All,

Life has been busy but great! I haven't entered any SUO challenges lately but have been enjoying all the posts and all the cards. I am the executor for my dad's estate so I have been going through a lot of memories and a lot of paperwork. Feeling on the better side of it now so I made a clean and simple one layer card for this challenge. I used the flower from the retired " Elements of Style" Set  and I stamped it in the subtle colour Pretty in Pink. The "Thank You" sentiment is from another retired set called "Fresh Cuts" and is stamped in Always Artichoke. I then ran it through the big shot with the Needlepoint Border textured impressions folder. I love this card as it is simple, elegant and only one layer.

I have bought some new sets lately but I guess the retired sets reminded me of the times I spent talking about cards with my dad. Feeling so nostalgic these days.....I made him a fabulous Father's Day card one year with the "Open Sea" stamp set.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this simple and elegant card as much as I do!

Happy Stampin!

MOJO #298

Hi All,

I love the citrusy colours of this card I just made this afternoon for the MOJO Monday Challenge #298!
The sentiment is from one of my Just Rite sets while all the other paper colours and ribbon are from Stamping UP! The blossom images are from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set and are stamped in So Saffron and More Mustard. The vertical paper strips are from the retired Everday Enchantment DSP. The little flags  on the end are hand cut as I have misplaced my Bitty Banners framelits somewhere in my stamping studio! Yikes! The little rhinestone buckle on the SU pear pizzaz ribbon is from a local craft store and I think it is so cute! I cut the star our with my Star #2 Sizzix die on everyday enchantment paper with a rhinestone from SU in the middle of the star! This card is so fun and fresh! I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

SR #181

Hi All,

Here is my entry for Stamping Royalty this week! It has been such a busy week with that I didn't even check my favourite card challenge websites! I did have a couple of my friends over to make paper tea cups on thursday so that was fun! On monday after work I let loose with stamping some images from my Betsy's Blossoms stamp set and my two favourite colours Rose Red and Pear Pizzaz! Woke up this morning, made pancakes for my hubby & I and then started vacuuming, but when I went to vacuum my stamping studio I just turned the vacuum off and started making a card! Needless to say, the floor of my studio is still littered with small bits of paper, the peel off backs of dimensionals etc.... Just tickled that I made this masculine thank you card and also so pleased that it captures the feel of the Stamping Royalty picture! Here is the card recipe:

Paper: White cardstock torn with my SU tearing edge ruler & inked in SU Midnight Muse ink
White cardstock stamped in Midnight Muse ink with my old SU solid stripes wood mount stamp
White cardstock stamped in Choc Chip with my Pretty Petites stamp set and cut out with
           co-ordinating punch.

Stamp Sets: By the Tide (SU) : Lobster  (midnight muse)/Coral (Marina Mist/Sea horses (Classic Black)
Pretty Petites (SU) Sentiment in Chocolate Chip
Solid Stripes (SU) Stripes in midnight must to make banner cut out by me and popped up.

Tools:          Dimensionals to pop up banner and sentiment, tearing edge ruler, and dazzling details on lobster.

Hope you enjoy this masculine thank you card! ~Happy Stampin'~ Jenny G
